While working in the Creative Department of Hamilton’s KX 94.7, he won the 2013 Silver Crystal Award, a national recognition for Radio Advertising in Canada. He is currently the host of About Brant on Rogers TV, helping people understand the inner workings of how a city works.

Guided by Principle. Grounded in Character. Focused on Solutions.

I won’t pretend to have every answer before I’ve heard every side. But I can promise you how I’ll serve: with clear principles, integrity and a practical approach to solving problems. That means listening carefully, weighing the facts and working with others to find solutions that make a real difference for our community.

Local & International

Locally, Dave serves on the Board of Directors of the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation and chairs the City of Brantford’s Canada Day Event. He has served on the Police Chief’s Advisory Council and the Chamber of Commerce Homelessness, Addictions and Mental Health Advisory Council. A lifelong minor sports advocate and coach, he was a finalist for the Brantford Sports Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Sports Volunteerism. He is also a pastor, having led Freedom House Church for 25 years, a congregation that organizes Brantford’s annual Santa Claus Parade.

Dave’s work has taken him to Africa twice: six months in Ghana in 2000, where he established baseball programming that helped grow the sport in the region, and more recently to Kenya with World Vision to see the impact of Canadian government partnerships firsthand.
